Kinsman

On Cleveland’s southeast side, Kinsman has long helped feed the whole city. From long-time producers to today’s urban farms, food and land are part of the neighborhood’s identity. New ideas, entrepreneurs, and community leaders continue building on that legacy.

Nourishing people and place

Rid-All Green Partnership is a one-of-a-kind farm in Cleveland and nationwide. Fresh produce, workforce training, aquaponics, and sustainability programs all grow here. What started as a neighborhood project is now a nationally recognized model for urban agriculture. It’s also a reflection of the heart and commitment of Kinsman community members.

The Celebration of the Year

As a celebration of local talent and wellness, the Fresh Fest festival brings national attention to Kinsman every year. In fact, it’s the largest urban agriculture festival in the country. Food, music, art, and culture all come together for a day of living fresh. Everyone’s invited to dance in front of the big stage at Cleveland’s event of the summer.

Kinsman Feeds Cleveland

Food production has long been part of Kinsman’s identity. Companies like Miceli Dairy Products and Orlando Baking Company produce cheese and bread that end up on restaurant tables and grocery shelves across Northeast Ohio. These family-founded businesses helped build Cleveland’s reputation as a food center. Their tradition of craftsmanship continues to connect Kinsman to kitchens far beyond the neighborhood.

Flavors Worth the Visit

For comforting takeout with huge flavor, Rockin Robyn’s Takeout is the go-to spot. Known for generous portions, this kitchen has built a loyal following across Cleveland. It’s the kind of place people discover through word of mouth and keep coming back to – and now you know, too.

Stories From Kinsman

In the Cleveland Public Library’s Kinsman Stories, residents describe Kinsman as a place defined by pride, perseverance, and possibility. The project collects oral histories, photos, and interviews that preserve the voices of people who know the neighborhood best. Their stories capture everyday moments, memories, and hopes for the future. Listening to them brings the spirit of Kinsman to life.
