Cleveland Twist Drill Building artists and other tenants will open their spaces to visitors on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11 am to 5 pm at Cleveland’s Twist Drill Building, on the corner of Lakeside Avenue East and E. 49th St., Cleveland, 44114. This annual free event hosted by Artists at the Twist, 5th floor, offers the public an unparalleled chance to see the unique spaces where artists and others work, to view both work in progress and completed work, to learn about artists’ techniques and processes, and to purchase work direct from many of the artists. Fifth floor studios of Artists at the Twist, as well as spaces of other artists and building tenants, will be open to tour. Other activities during the event will include artists talks, a raffle and silent auction. Free parking is available in the Twist Drill Building lot across Lakeside, or on Lakeside Ave. or E. 49th St. nearby. Elevator service is available to the fifth floor, and studios are air conditioned. Refreshments may be offered by some of the artists. The building is conveniently located near I-90 and easy to reach from east, west and south sides of Cleveland. Nearby and overlapping with the event will be the St. Clair Superior Arts Festival from noon to 9 pm (https://saintclairsuperiorartfestival.com/). Artists at the Twist are a studio collective of seventeen visual artists working in a wide variety of media: drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, papermaking, enameling, jewelry and sculpture. Members of the group participate in multiple public shows, exhibits and sales throughout northeast Ohio during the year, and put on a popular Holiday Sale in their building’s event space (this year on December 5th and 6th). Many members accept retail, wholesale and custom orders from individuals, businesses, art consultants, interior designers and galleries.
