moCa Cleveland invites you to Second Skin: In Bondage, an immersive, day-long event celebrating body autonomy, artistic expression, and community. Inspired by the powerful themes in artist KING COBRA's exhibition When You Are Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, the program brings together contemporary art, tattoo culture, kink, music, and conversation in a bold exploration of identity, transformation, and resistance. Beginning with a live tattoo competition in Cleveland's Flats and culminating in an evening of dialogue and dancing at moCa, Second Skin: In Bondage invites audiences to engage with the body as a site of creativity, memory, empowerment, and self-definition. The evening's centerpiece is a dynamic conversation moderated by moCa Cleveland Deputy Director and Senior Curator DJ Hellerman. Acclaimed artist KING COBRA joins author and activist Ericka Hart and the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland's Gulnar Feerasta for an engaging discussion examining body empowerment, race, identity, and the ways art, lived experience, and community intersect to challenge convention and expand possibilities. After the conversation, the museum transforms into a vibrant late-night celebration as galleries give way to the dance floor. DJs Scene The DJ and DJ Red-I will keep the energy high with an evening of house music, inviting guests to celebrate community, movement, and self-expression.
