End: May 2, 2026 3:00 pm

Cleveland History Center
Address:

Cleveland, OH – 44106

Admission Price: $ ($0 - $25)

Step into the world of sound in filmmaking! Families will experiment with foley techniques to create their own sound effects—everything from footsteps to creaking doors to cartoonish boings. Tap, shake, scrape, and layer everyday objects to hear how sounds transform a scene, then watch (and listen!) as your creations sync with short film clips. Drop in anytime to play, explore, and take home your own mini soundtrack. Perfect for ages 5–105, it’s a hands-on celebration of creativity, invention, and the behind-the-scenes magic of movies. This program is included with Museum General Admission to the Cleveland History Center. Plan time to visit all the museum galleries including the current exhibit "Hollywood on the Cuyahoga: Northeast Ohio and the Movies" a feature exhibit of the America 250-Ohio Goes to the Movies celebration.
