Don’t miss the return of one of America’s most iconic modern dance companies, performing in Cleveland for the first time in 19 years! Founded in 1926 by modern dance pioneer Martha Graham, the Company celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026. The program will feature Graham classics like Lamentation and Appalachian Spring, set to the music of Aaron Copeland, alongside new works by today’s leading choreographers, such as Jamar Roberts’ We the People, set to a commissioned score by Grammy-winning composer and folk musician Rhiannon Giddens. In her lifetime, Graham choreographed 181 works over 70 years. Today, the Martha Graham Dance Company features some of the best dancers in the world. It is no surprise that Martha Graham Dance Company has been called “one of the great companies of the world” by the New York Times.
