Originally from Iowa and a University of Iowa graduate, Brooks made waves with his 2015 debut album This Is Cool, Right?, which topped the iTunes charts and was named one of PASTE Magazine’s 10 Best Comedy Albums of the year. His TV credits include Girls (HBO), The Half Hour (Comedy Central), Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC), CONAN (TBS), and more. A former writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live (Season 39), Brooks was also named one of Rolling Stone's Top 45 Acts of Bonnaroo 2014.

He’s performed at major festivals like Just for Laughs, SXSW, and Moontower and continues to headline across the U.S. AV Club praises him as “a considerable talent with a unique voice and perspective.”
